You can start in the Netherlands at National competitions by a License at the KNHS. With every licenses you can make as many starts you want.
To get a license in the Netherlands you will need to fill in some forms. We have three different licenses in the Netherlands.
This license is for one Event. Your points and horses will not be registered. Because your horses are not registered, you can start on any horse you wish, without any extra costs. You will not get a start license as a pass, but a document with your name and combination number and the Event you will participate in. The costs of a Event License are €37.00 (in 2024).

You can apply for an Event License several times a year.
This license is for 6 weeks. Your points and horses will not be registered. Because your horses are not registered, you can start on any horse you wish, without any extra costs. You will not get a start license as a pass, but a form with your name and combination number.
You can get a Period License 4 times a year.
This license is for 12 months. Your points and horses will be registered. You will get a start license for each horse.
For a Guest License we need:
- Guest license registrationform person.
- Guest license registrationform horse.
- The copies from the passport of the horse.
- Declaration from the Federation of your country, with your highest level in it.
The costs of the guest license are €31,- for a membership each year. Then you need to pay for every start license you wish. You get a start license with every horse you start.
A normal start license (starpass) costs €135,00.
So if you start one horse it will cost €31,- + €135,00. = €166,-
When you start two horses it costs €31,- + €135,00 + €124,00 = €290,-
When you want the license within 48 hours you have to pay urgent rate of €42.00.
